Tauranga Plumber

Hospital Plumbing Services

We were contracted to supply all sanitary fittings and associated plumbing for the New North Wing and Podium contract being the first stage of the project.

The contract started in June 2006 and was completed recently. The plumbing contract value was in excess of $1.8 millon plus approximately $500,000 for the hospital roofing contract.

Our team on site, led by Jason Flintoff, performed well in meeting all contractual obligations and maintained close liaison with the main contractor Fletcher Construction BOP in order to meet all programs.

We installed in excess of 500 sanitary fittings and tapware, 6500 metres of copper piping and 3800 metres of PVC piping on the Hospital Contract.

Challenges included working after hours and preparing sufficient materials to ensure jobs were completed by the following morning to prevent any disruption to hospital services.

We then secured the second stage being the West Wing and this work should be completed by the end of 2008.

The challenge was to route all the plumbing services without interrupting the 4th floor where the ICU is located in order for the lower floors to be renovated.
